What has changed and why?

In July of 2009, we reevaluated our sites for how secure and how easy to use they are. Based on customer feedback, we found that the biggest area we could work to to improve our customers' satisfaction with us and with the site, was to provide better download speeds and overall doing a better job of protecting our members and our sites from unauthorized usage.

Our findings were that the sites were not with the current times for login security. Since this was the case in all of our sites and with more and more complaints about bandwidth, we introduced several vital back end security changes, and at this time, one primary new system. More system changes are coming that will provide additional functionality.

The new login feature is called a captcha login system. Captcha logins are three part verification systems. With a captcha login, the username, the password and the code must be correct to provide authorization (access to the site). More about captcha login history and examples are found on Wikipedia.

The new system removes dialog box logins and replaces the system with form based site entrance.

Example of dialog Box login:

Internet Explorer Dialog

Firefox Dialog

We now use from logins, like this:

The log into the site is the same, just enter your username, your password and the code.

No Code?

Once your log into the site, there are no other changes to the front end (the site you surf).

With every new change, we understand that there will be some problems. Fortunately there are only a few problem types that we can quickly and easily help you with.

Invalid Login - invalid user name or password

With this code, this means that the username or the password (or both) are incorrect. This message does not appear for any other reason. Please remember that your username and password are CaSe sPEciFiC. Remember to turn the caps lock off.

You must have cookies enabled to use the site.

Example: JohnSmith is not the same as johnsmith

Important: Delete the username and password, then retype your login. If the username is incorrect, you must clear the username and password then retype it in. Do not keep entering the code over and over if you see this message as you will not be able to enter the site.

Other reasons why your username and password may not be accepted is that the scheduled billing for your membership has failed. Failed rebilling comes from in insufficient funds, credit limit, changes in the card billing address, cards that are reported lost or stolen or expired card. Please remember to check your billing first by reviewing your account statement from your financial institution. If you have no charges that would fall within a normal renewal, then you should contact the billing provider to confirm your account. They are CCBill, Epoch and 2000Charge.

CCBill - Click here Epoch.com - Click Here 2000Charge - Click here

You can also contact us for your username and password, please include the subscription number, the email you used when you joined if different from your current email, and the username you're attempting to use to enter the site.

Incorrect Code - The code you entered didn't match the picture

Unfortunately the code you entered was not correct. If the code is not correct, you'll see this:

We offer different styles of codes (challenge response image). If you are unsure of a code, click Reload Image until you have a code that you're more comfortable with.

Important: Codes are numbers and lowercase letters, only. There are no symbols or uppercase letters. You should always enter the code that is provided, never attempt to use an old code. Only the code showing is valid. If there are any errors in entry, you'll have to enter a new code each time.

Some out of date browsers are still experiencing some problems with the code system, always check for using a different browser from the one you are using.

No Code

If there is no code showing, refresh the page. Firefox users, if there are no images showing on the entire page, please follow these instructions:

  • Open Firefox, then click TOOLS, then select OPTIONS.
  • Go to the CONTENT tab, then ensure the box is checked for LOAD IMAGES AUTOMATICALLY.
  • Click the EXCEPTIONS button. There should be no exceptions listed. Click Remove All Sites if there are any exceptions listed.

What has likely happened is you have accidentally set Firefox to "Block all Images from...". If there are no headers and no code, your system if blocking our images, which is causing the code to be hidden. You'll see something like this:

Error Code "This IP has been logged. ERROR CODE: XX-AB##"

If you see any Error Codes, please contact us as this is not related the new captcha system. Error codes are produced when the username has been disabled. If you experience problems lasting longer then 30 minutes, please contact us here.

None of these steps work, now what?

There are only a few causes for problems. Cookies being disabled, using an out of date browser, incorrect username/password or code. Additionally you may want to clear your browsers cache and delete all saved cookies. After you do this, we suggest you restart your computer then manually enter your username and password along with the code.

How does this help protect me?

This new system helps us protect our members in a variety of ways, since the sites cannot be attacked in the old ways of vulnerability, by using dialog box authentication, there have been able to cut unauthorized usage more then 50%. It affects our users greatly since there is far less chance of a username being used by anyone else because of hack attempts.

How does this help the download speeds or bandwidth?

With less and less unauthorized users, it means that there are less pages being loaded overall, less files being downloaded, less people using the sites. This means that the overall speed of the sites has improved because we're keeping out unauthorized users.

How come there is not a large improvement in download speed?

There isn't a considerable gain in speed because our sites didn't have a large amount of unauthorized users (by estimated ratio) to start with. Over the years we've taken proactive steps to combat the amount of unauthorized access, this change is by far our biggest step. These changes considerably curb attacks and eliminate the dialog box logins. Over time, these changes will be more notable in a user level.

Is my personal/financial information safe?

Yes, your personal and financial information are stored with the billing providers, CCBill, Epoch and 2000Charge. The measures we've taken are to protect your access to the site to ensure you can enter the site without worry about others. Our billers take every precaution in safeguarding customer information and protecting privacy.

About Bookmarks

We have always asked that members please do not bookmark any pages within the site. As a result, attempts to use bookmarks aside from the login page, will bring you to the login page. Just log into the site then surf to the models page. To help you better with keeping a list, we have a introduced a favorites list in all the sites.
